I have been doing VA jobs for the past 9 months now, part time. And what I mean with part time is that I only get short-term or one time writing assignment and the most is a 4-hour a week stint. For the past 9 months of doing so-so VA work, I have gained friends, VA proteges that are so nice and helpful, a boss so generous, and lots of hands-on experiences and skills on becoming a better work from home professional. VA Seminar goes to Phnom Penh

Last June 1, as the strong rain poured down Norodom in Phnom Penh, blessings for a VA coach is being poured as well. It was indeed a miraculous afternoon. So peaceful despite the heavy rain and strong wind. Lots of inquiries regarding the online coaching has also poured in. This June 26, at 2PM, another VA seminar will be held on Phnom Penh. I am typing this blog at the comfort of my home, wearing a cool tube blouse while watching Courage, the cowardly dog with my two sweet and lovely daughters. I love my life! First Batch of VA Coaching attendees

It was more than a pleasure to share knowledge to a few people who dared to start with a career that would help them become more financially blessed with. It was an intimate coaching, with lots of bonuses, but indeed was a fruitful coaching session. Knowing a person who wants to help himself before others can is such a rewarding experience. It is true that there are people who wish to know more, and earn, and share but are not really doing anything about it. Sometimes, a mentor is just so willing to give more, but falls into deaf ear. Yet, those deaf ears are those who kept on yelping for help with regards to their finances and dreams and lifestyle. Kudos to Nikka and Vangie for taking their first step to getting ahead. God bless you more and more.

Japan tsunami and online jobs

Japan was struck by a very devastating tsunami due to a very intense earthquake last Friday. Saying that it was a sad event is not enough, because it is not just sad. It was terrible. It was horrible.

Saturday and Sunday came. News about what's going on in Japan after the tragedy were something everybody is raving about.

I was home finishing some articles needed to be done. I see the news at yahoo mail about Japan. My heart ached so much. I wish I can do more than just read the news. I prayed for the Japanese people and all the people who were there.

Some people think, and I was asked lots of times about this, that people who works on line are people with poor social skills. Think again. Most people I know who works and/or have online businesses are the people who have lots of true friends, busy with community services, assertive on promoting events that are centered on the welfare humanity.

Thinking about this, come to think of it, we have the power at our fingertips to bring latest news at the fastest, most effective and most powerful means today - the internet. And bet you, we have the power to also generate help using this tool.

So, think again. Is an online job/work from home really boring and selfish? An online job is so much more than that.

Juan Tamad

A Filipino old folk tale tells of a young man named Juan Tamad who always wanted to get something doing nothing. One instance is that he laid down under a guava tree and opened his mouth straight under one fruit and waited all day for that guava to fall directly into his mouth. The guava tree is just there, with lots of fruits waiting to be picked and enjoyed. But Juan Tamad chose not to do anything except to wait for that lifeless fruit to do something for him, to fall into his mouth and get eaten.

Each one of us was given a unique talent that we can use for good. But sometimes, that talent does not get into full bloom because we are restricted for some reasons. What is a VA?

What is a VA? A VA is a Virtual Assistant. Someone who works on a job/project from another location using the internet or the web. He can be a personal assistant, a secretary, a web designer, a writer, a SEO, a marketer, and lots more. He works physically away from his employer. He owns his time, works at his own pace, disciplines himself, produces his own results, and determines his own earning. A VA is, per se, a business owner. He owns his own VA business. The VA chooses his projects, how much time he will devote to that project, and how much money he will earn from doing that project. That is a basic thing about being a VA.
